Day 243

Well the weekend was kind of ruff, but I made it to the other side.

The nice part was that all three kids where here yesterday and I got to enjoy hanging out with them for a while.

I guess I better stop calling them kids soon. My oldest is 23, my daughter is 18 and the youngest son is 15. Some how I think that in my mind they'll be "kids" even when they're in their 50's.

It's monday morning and waking has been slow going so far. Not even coffee is helping yet.

I'll grab a shower and go to work.

One good thing about work is that it does the day pass by even on days like this.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning, I was half way thinking of staying home today, I feel like I am getting a cold so is it a cold o is it the shot ha ha. then I read your blog and decided going in late is better than not going in at all.
Rosie, I am thinking about you, I am so sorry about all of the problems you have had. My doctor said that they found that the Prodrug was just too hard on everyone. Also, the receptionist told me that half of the people on the trial where I am had to quite working so we must be real warriors here LOL. Not that I feel like one this morning but I get sttrength from all of you

Laurie thanks for the positive thoughts. You know I am still pretty depressed about going through all of the trail for nothing but you are right at least they are looking to the future for me and I need to be more grateful for that. My son went through tx 2 times so far and his VL never went down so at least mine did go down for awhile(although I wish his did too) It was just so soon for me to hear about starting all over I guess. I doubt I have enough hair left to do this again without going bald so I will stay on the lookout for head coverings before I do it all over again. Thanks for trying to keep me positive...it was what I really needed. I hope you have a great day today and feel well. Oh yes I still call my children kids too probally always will they are 33, 35, and 38 LOLTake Care and thanks Rosie

Dorene,

It's probably the shot and not a cold virus since these are such a major anti-viral drug.

Just be careful that it's not a sinus infection. With blood counts jumping all over the place it's easier to get an infection. Watch your temp. and if it goes up don't play around with it, call your doctor.

Take care....I hope you're feeling better today!

Rosie,

I don't blame you....any of us would feel the same way about hearing them talk about restarting so soon.

A good thing about going into standard care is that Roche won't be controlling it as much. Rescue drugs will be at your Doctors descretion. You'll have a better chance at controlling your blood levels.

I'll keep a look out for hair covers. If I find anything I'll let you know. So far nothing tickles my fancy. It might never since I was never someone who wore stuff like that before.

But give me until winter when it's cold and I may be changing my attitude quickly when the cold starts hitting my scalp more. lol

Hang in there my friend.
