Day 31

FedEx is supposed to deliver the drugs today. Thank God because there is no more color left in my body, everythin hurts and the drummer boy will not stop. He's evil and relentless. I just can't take his beating anymore.

Dear God please let FedEx get here as early as he possibly can.

Jimmy Here: well true to form, murphys law comes into effect, Fedex delivers the meds at 12:15 and driver says silly me "I didn't see the priority sticker on this, I could have had this here much earlier". If I would have been a person in need of anger management he would still be laying on the ground. Now if anyone had these rescue drugs can you tell us how long can we expect them to start working their magic and makinjg Laurie feel a little better?

Glad to know the medicines arrived. I was on both. Regarding the Procrit - my hemoglobin and Hematocrit never got as low as Laurie's. It took 3 or 4 weekly doses for me to get some more energy, but I'm a few years older than Laurie :} The dose for that should be 40,000 Units, right?
Regarding the Neupogen - you can't really feel this working, but you'll know it's working when it boosts her immune system and her infection(s) clear up.
If she took both N. and P. today AND hasn't been taking the HCV meds since last week, her Hgb, HCT, WBC and ANC numbers should be a lot higher the next time she has a blood test. If she's still on the HCV meds, her #s should still be higher on the next blood test, but may not be in the normal range.
