Day 62

Shot #8 down and out of the way!

I woke up with that washed out feeling this morning. Thank God the Drummer boy was squashed at 3 am by Tylenol because I couldn't stand waking up to his thumping this morning. I hate headaches more than any of the rest of the side effects!

My house is like a Hospital right now. My son is staying over with his broken collar bone (which will not be reset until Monday! Ouch!). My youngest son threw his back out at school during track and then there's me and wonderful tx with shot #8!

Because we live over the top of our Bar and it's called the Roads End Pub, we've renamed our home for the weekend and we're calling it "The Roads End General Hospital"! LOL Not the place that you want to be for next couple of days.

Poor Jimmy! I'm sure he'll find lot's of work at the bar today! :)

Terry and Jimmy have decided to throw a little rally at the Roads End for the Obama Election. Terry started it and Jimmy is defiantly taking the ball and running! He contacted the Obama Campaign camp to fill them in and they've decided to set up their camp here on Election night! It's getting very exciting! I'll have lot's of pictures to post after Election Night! I just wish Terry could be here for this little rally that he started. :)

I just know Obama will win the ticket and knock Hillary on her ass!

Well, hopefully I'll get to feeling better as the day goes on....I think I'll skip the Zoloft today as I think I already met my quota for feeling like crap.

Have an awesome Saturday!

Good Morning Laurie,
Sounds like your house will be full today! Hope everyone makes it through it all. I have tried most everything for this rash from Gold Bond, Hydrocrotisone cram Aveeno, Baby oil, and now some prescription cream that is suppose to work but doesn't plus pills for the itching that make you want to sleep even more than usual. I think it is a toxic reaction to all the drugs myself but hell what do I know except it sucks! My Viral Load is at 3100 my WBC is 2.2 my plalets are at 30 and my hem. is 11.1. The nurse did tell me of a shampoo for people on chemo called nioxin she said you can get it at a beauty supply store that helps promote hair growth as mine is starting to thin out. She said it works good but I don't personally know if it does. She said it was about $20 or so. This rash is now moving towards my face which will suck when I go back to work as only 2 of the 60 people I work with know what's going on. They are all starting to ask questions since I look like hell but I am not sure I really want everyone knowing my business. Some people just don't understand hep c and they get freaked out. Here I am whinning again...sorry about that. I am going to take a oatmeal bath this morning and hope like hell it helps with the itching. I am bringing up little blood marks from scratching. It is so funny people tell you "just don't scratch" but it is really hard when you feel this yucky! I hope your little General Hospital works out well for all the ill in your home.Have a Great Day! Rosie

Why don't you forget the Zoloft until you talk to your doctor? It's not a drug that does any good if you take it one day, skip it the next.
Glad you're finally getting on board for the Obama campaign! ABC! (anybody but Clinton)
Rosie - I tried Nioxin and it didn't help, plus did a crummy job cleaning my hair.

Terry,
Yes a bus does go from NYC to Hazleton!! It comes right Downtown just a few blocks from us and we could pick you up! :)

Think about it! It would be fun!

Rosie,

My Heart goes out to you! You whine all you want....you earned it! And that's what this blog is for anyway! lol

Be very careful when it comes to using creams on your rash. When mine started Doc cautioned me not to use creams that contain steriods. She said that the steriods interfere with the Inerferon.

Your counts are awefully low...have you asked your Doc. about Procrit and Nuepogen? Ask them to check, Roche is allowing it with me. You'd feel soooo much better with them. I don't think I could do this without them.

Iris is right about the shampoo not working. My Doc said that nothing will really help it. If it's going to fall out it's going to fall out. It's from cell death due to all of the drugs. Can't really treat it from the outside in when it's dieing from the inside out. Most everyone I know who had hair falling out wound up with very thin hair but not bald. I cut mine shorter and it looks thicker for now. (I still have to get a picture....since I feel like shit after the shot I just haven't done anything to it so no pic while It's a mess) I'll go shorter if it continues to get too thin.

I gave up trying to hide my Hep C from people. I feel like hell and most of the time I look like it too, plus I've lost weight so the tx is showing. People ask so I wind up giving them an education. They need to learn...

When this is over I am seriously thinking about starting a support group here in my area. There is nothing here now and I know now what it feels like to feel alone and confused when diagnosed with an illness that really no knows anything about in my area. No support and no one to talk to...it's what started this blog.

I just need to complete what I have to go through and gain something of an education myself before I move forward with any kind of support group.

I hope you feel better soon! I hope the script for your rash beats it. I know it's hard but hang in there! Really stress the rescue drugs to your Doctor! Show him my blog if you have to, Tell him that my Doctors name is Dr. Jill Smith at Milton Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. Tell them to call her if he needs to! Your counts are dropping too low!

Take care my friend! Hang in there...better days Will come.

Hey Iris :)

I wound up talking myself into to taking half a Zoloft yesterday. It wasn't too bad but I really didn't eat too much either.

Tomorrow Doc should be back so I'll call her for a different script.

There has to be something better than Zoloft.

Thank you :)

Oh yeah Iris! I've always been anti-Clinton! I have quiet a vocabulary for that (and I use it lightly)...Woman!

It's just that Jimmy and I can't vote against her in the Primary. We're both Republicans.

It doesn't stop us from working against her though!

I do hope that Obama wins. Come election time he'll have my Republican vote. He just seems to be the only one out there who fits the best. Not perfect...but out of the other candidates...the best.

Hillary needs to sit down and shut up! I don't care if she did come from my neighborhood. Hopefully the rest of PA won't care either!

That's another thing that makes an Obama Ralley so cool here...it's an Obama Rally in Hillary's own back yard! LOL
